From our flower field cycling tour starting point at Keukenhof gardens we take a route through the flower fields. We stop at the best spots for flower power selfies.
During the bike tour tulip fields & bulb farm I will give you inside information about Keukenhof, the Dutch flower region, tulip bulb growing and Dutch culture.
Enchanted by all the colorful tulips, richly scented hyacinths and smiling daffodils it is easy to miss the bulb farm, hidden in the midst of the flower bulb fields.
As a local guide, I make sure you don’t miss the best spots of the Keukenhof area and this cosy bulb farm is definitely a mustsee in the flower region. If you still have some questions on how a tulip is grown this is the place to ask. You just have to find the bulb grower who is always around. After some pictures in the midst of the fields there’s time for a cup of coffee with a fresh stroopwafel in the bulb farmer’s romantic greenhouse.
We get back on our bikes and head to our last – mystery- spring power flower destination before returning to Keukenhof. For the hopelessly romantic and for the down-to-earth bicycle participants this is a true gem in the bike tour tulip fields. Combining your 2020 visit to Keukenhof tulip park with a bike tour through the flower fields and visit a bulb farm is great to make the most out of your daytrip from Amsterdam. It is also fun and quite exciting to explore Holland by bike & cycle through this fascinating region.

Nature is unpredictable. Last years the best time to see the tulips was Mid-April. Due to the warmer winters tulips bloom earlier, beginning of April. The end of March/ start of April is always my favorite time as you’ll still see the daffodils, smell the hyacinths and can enjoy the tulips. In May most tulips have been cut and fields will be empty. Although I can not garantee that you see tulip fields end of March, mid- May I will always do my best to bring you to at least 1 field.

Sorry to hear! I’ll contact you to see if we can reschedule the tour. If there is no other option and you cancel 21 days prior to the bike tour I can still give back the full amount. Cancelation between 20 and 14 days means you’ll get 75 % back, 14-7 days means 50% and less than 7 days or no shows unfortunately means you get no refund.
This is a group tour, we can not wait for you. Contact me as soon as you know you’re coming late so we can discuss the options.
A cheese farm is not on the route. You can request a private tour so we can make this a tulip & cheese daytrip. When interested in a cheese farm tour, I can also recommend the Leiden or Gouda cheese bike tour.
Roads are flat and although we do share roads with cars, cycling in the surroundings of Keukenhof is comfortable. The route is bike-friendly. Besides, I keep an eye on you and the traffic and make sure you’re safe.
