Our starting point for this tulip bike tour between Amsterdam and Leiden is the famous Dutch tulip park itself. Here my partner will provide you with bicycles you are comfortable with. You also get a moment to test the bike. After you’re set and ready to go we start our relaxed bike ride.

During the bike tour tulip fields & bulb farm I will give you inside information about the flower garden, the Dutch flower region, tulip bulb growing and Dutch culture.

What is the best time for the Amsterdam tulip bike tour start Keukenhof?

23 March – 14 May 2023

Nature is unpredictable. Last years the best time to see the tulips was Mid-April. Due to the warmer winters tulips bloom earlier, beginning of April. The end of March/ start of April is always my favorite time as you’ll still see the daffodils, smell the hyacinths and can enjoy the tulips. In May most tulips have been cut and fields will be empty. Although I can not garantee that you see tulip fields end of March, mid- May I will always do my best to bring you to at least 1 field.

Here late March, beginning of April and want an unique experience involving 2 typical Dutch products? Check the cheese & tulip celebration tour and do a dance with cows!

Can I bring my kids?

I love family bike rides, so yes, do bring them. For the youngest we have child seats. There is also an option to rent a parent-child tandem, which is extremely fun for parent & child! Just check the photo section. And, kids between 4-11 always pay €35.00

How many participants join a tulip bike tour to the bulb farm?

Verita’s Visit ‘s Holland is about personal, direct contact. All city and Dutch countryside tours are done in small groups of minimum 4 and maximum 8 participants, so your safety is garanteed and you can ask questions. Is the entrance ticket to Keukenhof included?

No, the entrance ticket is not included. This bike tour tulip fields starts at Keukenhof. Cycling in the park is not allowed and the cycling tour follows a route along the best sights in the region. Many partipants choose to do this bike tour through the flowerfields first ánd then visit the gardens of Keukenhof on their own account. This way they can get the full experience and choose how long they want to stay in the park.

What else is there to see & do in the region?

There are many gems and special locations in the Flower Region. Flower villages, cheese farms, lakes, windmills. I’ll tell you all about it in the bike tour. Or if you’re interested in another typical Dutch product try a Delft blue bike tour.

What happens in case of rain

Tours are only cancelled in case of storm, heavy rain or heavy wind. In any other type of weather the bike tour tulips & bulb farm will happen. There are many locations to use as shelter for the rain & I’ll hand out rain ponchos. I’ll give you an update a few days before. Also read this blogpost.

I need to cancel my bike tour

Sorry to hear! I’ll contact you to see if we can reschedule the tour. If there is no other option and you cancel 21 days prior to the bike tour I can still give back the full amount. Cancelation between 20 and 14 days means you’ll get 75 % back, 14-7 days means 50% and less than 7 days or no shows unfortunately means you get no refund.

My bus/ taxi/ train has a delay

This is a group tour, we can not wait for you. Contact me as soon as you know you’re coming late so we can discuss the options.

Will we pass a cheese farm?

A cheese farm is not included in this cycling route. This can be included in a private bike tour. Do contact me for details.

How safe is the cycling route?
