Gouda cheese lovers and Gouda stroopwafel will have the time of their life in this 3 hour Gouda Food Tour. At 2 PM we meet in front of Tourist Office Gouda for a walk through the inner city centre where we will see Gouda’s history as the Dutch Capital of Cheese and Stroopwafel in several monuments and facades. The syrup waffle ( in Dutch stroopwafel) is a delicious Dutch delicacy created in Gouda. On our Gouda food tour we will visit different bakeries which all have their own syrup waffle recipe. Each baker will tell us a syrup waffle story and one of them even lets us bake our own warm siroopwafel. After the sweet tooth has been satisfied we wonder through the streets of old crafts and cosy shops to stop at one of the authentic cheese shops in Gouda. Here we taste a Gouda farmer’s cheese and a Gouda cheese made in a factory. Let’s see if you can taste the difference! Before we end the day with a beer and cheese tasting, we have a look inside the Gouda Cheese Museum. And then, it’s time for a drink!
